Chevrolet Suburban Hollywood Walk of Fame Star

Chevrolet Suburban is the only car to have a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.  The Chevy Suburban made its first onscreen appearance as an extra in the 1952 film "Big Jim McLean".   The Chevrolet Suburban has starred at least one TV show every year since 1956 and at least one movie every year since 1960.
In its entire acting career the Chevy Suburban has starred in over 1,750 movies.   At the Stars unveiling, the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce called the Chevrolet Suburban Hollywood's longest working most versatile actor ever.

The Suburban has been around for 91 years and is widely known for hauling people and cargo.
We wanted to shift perceptions and raise awareness of the Suburban in pop culture and Hollywood.

The Chevrolet Suburban has been acting in Hollywood for the past 74 years, appearing in thousands of films and TV shows.
To highlight this impressive resume, we petitioned the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce
and made the case for the Suburban to be awarded its own Award of Excellence star.

The Hollywood Chamber of Commerce agreed, making the Suburban the first inanimate object ever to receive a star.
We held a formal ceremony at the Dolby Theater on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, where the Chevrolet Suburban was presented its star.
The event even included an honorary guest speaker, Dennis McCarthy, who has almost 20 years of experience building and casting cars in Hollywood films.
